Daily number of steps

Clients can share their daily step count with their healthcare provider or coach. This data can then be used to set goals, create challenges, or analyze factors that contribute to overall health.

“Steps” Data

Hexfit includes a defaultSteps” count data field. It will automatically display the step count from connected watches or apps.

If your clients don’t have a watch or if you want them to enter the data manually, you have two options:

  1. Use the default “Steps” data point and ask the client to fill out a form that includes it*. You’ll need to create a custom document.

  2. Create a custom data point.

💡 Tip

If you create a custom data field, it’s recommended to give it a name slightly different from the default one to make it easier to find.

For example, the “Steps” data field already exists by default. If you create a new one with the same name, you risk causing confusion when selecting it.

You could, for example, create: “Number of steps” or “Daily steps” to distinguish it.*

⚠️ Warning: If the default “Step” data field is filled in via a document and the client also has this data from a watch, there will be a conflict that will only retain the last value entered.

In this case, it’s best to choose one or the other:

  • Automatically fill in with the watch

  • Ask the client to manually enter the data

Where can you find the data?

The default “Steps” data can be viewed from the “Activities” tab.

By hovering over the day

By clicking “+Add” and then “See day,” you will be able to edit the data.

If you've created a custom data point instead, it will appear in the “Data” section. For more information, click here.
