Guide to taking photos

Please follow these instructions to ensure accurate body analysis.

Why is this important?

Incorrect clothing, posture, or background can skew the analysis and measurements.

1. Clothing

  • Close-fitting clothing (tight-fitting T-shirt, leggings, or cycling shorts)

  • Hair tied back

  • Bare feet or socks

  • ⛔ No belts or accessories

  • ⛔ Avoid loose-fitting clothing, dresses, skirts, or bras that distort your shape

2. Taking photos

  • Take the photos alone

  • Hold your phone at eye level, straight up (≈ 90°)

  • Stand 3–4 steps away from the camera

3. Environment

  • Plain, uncluttered background

  • Color contrasting with clothing

  • Good lighting

  • Avoid objects close to the silhouette

4. Framing

  • Hands and feet fully visible

  • The body should occupy about 70% of the image

Front view photo

  • Stand up straight, facing the camera

  • Arms slightly apart (A-position)

  • Feet slightly apart

Profile photo

  • Turn to the left

  • Body straight

  • Arms at your sides
